Kpex 1G is a session-based quick estimator for individual equipment components. It covers Module A (742 equipment families), the Location Factor Index (Z.4) and the Cost Adjustment Index (Z.5). You look up a component in a session and get a priced result — no persistent storage. Kpex 2G is the full cost intelligence platform: persistent projects and estimates, WBS builder, all modules A through Z (benchmarks, facilities, OPEX, decommissioning), collaboration, API and white-label reporting. All paid Kpex 2G tiers include Kpex 1G automatically — no extra charge.
Explorer supports Class 5 (screening) estimates only. Practitioner supports Class 5 through Class 4 (study-level estimates). Professional and Enterprise support Class 5 through Class 2 (FEED and appropriation-level estimates). Enterprise+ and Data Partner support the full range from Class 5 through Class 1 (definitive estimates). Class 1 requires Enterprise+ or above.

The Explorer free tier includes 1G in limited mode (5 equipment families only, no export).
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time by contacting our team at info@caf-corporation.com. Upgrades take effect within one business day. Downgrades apply at the start of your next billing cycle.
Practitioner and Professional include a 14-day free trial — no credit card required to start. Enterprise and Data Partner demos are arranged directly with our sales team — email info@caf-corporation.com with subject: Kpex Enterprise Demo Request.

Kpex Exchange is the cost data marketplace within the Kpex ecosystem. Vendors (manufacturers, distributors, engineering firms) can list their equipment, publish price lists and receive real RFQs from estimators using Kpex 2G. Vendor Basic starts at 1,900 €/year, Vendor Pro at 4,500 €/year.
Data Partners are EPC contractors, owner-operators, PMC firms or financial institutions that contribute executed project cost data to the CAF benchmarking network. In return they receive full Kpex 2G Enterprise access, revenue share on their data, co-branding and an advisory board seat — no annual subscription fee.
